About the Client
Our client, is a busy, patient-centered family medicine clinic committed to delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-informed care to individuals and families across the lifespan.
The clinic has a growing focus on women’s health, including menopause care, preventive health, chronic disease management, and wellness support. To support this growth, our client is seeking a collaborative and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join their multidisciplinary healthcare team and play a key role in expanding women’s health and menopause services.
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care with a strong emphasis on women’s health and menopause management. Working collaboratively with physicians and allied health professionals, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-focused care centered on prevention, education, treatment, and long-term wellness.
This role is ideal for an NP with interest or experience in:
Menopause and perimenopause care
Hormone therapy management
Preventive women’s health
Sexual and reproductive health
Chronic disease management
Health promotion and patient education
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and follow-up care
Deliver specialized menopause and women’s health services, including symptom management and hormone therapy support
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and screening investigations
Prescribe medications and therapies within NP scope of practice
Provide preventive care, counseling, and health education
Manage chronic diseases and support lifestyle and wellness planning
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation using EMR systems
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and external specialists to ensure continuity of care
Consult with physicians in accordance with professional standards
Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers when required
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-informed practice
Hours of Work
Monday to Friday
Ability to commute or relocate to Sarnia, Ontario
Qualifications
Registered Nurse in the Extended Class (RN(EC)) / Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the provincial regulatory college
BScN required; Master’s Degree in Nursing (MN or MScN) required
Member of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) with professional liability insurance
Minimum 1–2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
Experience in primary care or family medicine preferred
Strong interest or experience in women’s health and menopause care considered a strong asset
Current BCLS certification
Current professional liability protection
Proficiency with EMR systems preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (proof required)
