The rules of the road for using Express HR. Please read these terms carefully — they explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

Section 01

Introduction & acceptance

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Express HR website, products, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, posting a job, applying to a job, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time and your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Section 02

Eligibility & account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under applicable law to use the Service. By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at legal@expresshr.com.

Section 03

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You will not, and will not permit others to:

  • Post discriminatory, misleading, or fraudulent job listings or applications.
  • Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Service without our written consent.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization.
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any other user.

Section 04

Job postings & applications

Employers are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of their job postings, screening questions, and any communications with applicants. Job seekers are solely responsible for the information they provide in profiles, applications, resumes, and consultations.

Express HR is a platform that facilitates connections between employers and job seekers. We do not guarantee employment, hiring outcomes, or the accuracy of any listing or application. Background checks, reference checks, and verification of qualifications remain the responsibility of the hiring party.

Section 05

Payments, plans & refunds

Some features of the Service — including paid consultations, featured job posts, and premium plans — require payment. By purchasing such features, you agree to pay all applicable fees and taxes. All prices are listed in the currency shown at checkout.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard.
  • Refunds for paid consultations may be requested within 24 hours of the scheduled session, provided the session has not yet occurred.
  • Disputed charges should be raised with us before initiating a chargeback so we can attempt to resolve the issue.

Section 06

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, logos, code, and editorial content, is owned by Express HR or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.

By submitting content (such as job listings, profile information, or resumes) to the Service, you grant Express HR a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

Section 07

Consultations & advice

Career consultations, immigration inquiries, and HR advisory sessions provided through the Service are informational and consultative only. They do not constitute legal, financial, medical, or licensed immigration advice unless explicitly stated by a credentialed professional.

Outcomes from any consultation depend on individual effort, market conditions, and other factors beyond our control. We provide career consultation services — not job placement, employment, or guaranteed hiring.

Section 08

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, attempt to misuse the Service, or create a risk or possible legal exposure for us. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@expresshr.com.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability) will survive.

Section 09

Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Express HR disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Express HR will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

Section 10

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in Ottawa, Ontario, unless another forum is required by applicable law.

Section 11

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms periodically to reflect changes in the Service or applicable law. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g. via email or a banner in the product) before the change takes effect.
